Here's to Mother's and Women Everywhere

Happy Friday Access Your Potential Family,

Even though it’s been a crazy long time since I wrote on this blog, I’ve been simply enjoying coaching/knowing several of you, getting to work alongside others, speaking/training in your organizations or conferences, and thinking about the rest of you with much love.

As I wrap up my work for this week I am mindful of the day we are about to celebrate this Sunday and I am basking in the gratitude I feel towards so many incredible women.

If you happen across this blog today, this weekend, or anytime at all, I hope you will join me in a heart-felt “Thank You!” to Mom’s, sisters, friends and women everywhere who have blessed our lives beyond measure.

If you haven’t read it already, or even if you read it a while back when I published it, I invite you to get even more in the spirit by slipping over to the “Top Picks” page of AccessYourPotential.org scroll down to Angel’s Article and Tips, and click on? Magnificent Women- A Mother’s Day Tribute.

For now and in gratitude to each of you, I leave you with these beautiful thoughts:

“My mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune.”
- Graycie Harmon

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.””
- Washington Irving

Happy Wednesday My Incredible Access Your Potential Family!

As you may have noticed, this has been one busy summer (I’m just getting a chance to post here). I’m sure you have also found that work, life and hopefully a good dose of play, have made the summer simply dance by for you as well. I hope you are having the time of your life and making every day, every minute count!

I’m sending ever so much love your way!

Here are my current musings/offerings for today’s post

It’s going to be a rather hot one here in Salem Oregon today (mid 90’s), but now that we have our blessed heat pump/air conditioner installed, I’m looking forward to only being in the heat when I want to be today…what a wonderful thought!

As I consider this, I am reminded of other aspects of our lives where we have the power to invest in changes that allow us to minimize or eliminate the possibility of encountering situations we don’t like or want in our lives. In coaching these things are called “tolerations” (as many of you, particularly my coaching clients, know already).

The parallel is a simple one. In this case, my Hubby and I made a decision to invest in our home’s new capacity for heating and cooling (and not a small investment), which now affords me a magnificent work and living environment (while offering me a choice to bask in the sun and heat when I wish as well). In the same way, we each have opportunities to look around our lives right now and consider what we either want, or no longer want, present in our environment, practices or experiences. “

In this light I offer the following questions and challenges for your consideration…

What are you currently “tolerating?”
(For now just think of one thing/issue situation)

What do you want to experience?

What will it take to get there?
(What do you need to do, stop doing, or do differently to insure the result you’re looking for?)

Once you’ve answered these questions, you are equipped with the tools you need to begin the investment in your most perfect future. Begin investing/taking action today and fill your world with opportunities, choices, freedom and abundance! It’s your magnificent future in the making—why not insure that it is expansive and abundant beyond your wildest imaginations?

Here’s to you and the precious gift you are to yourself, to me and to all who have the privilege of being in your life!

Love and abundance to you!

Grads

Happy Friday Wonderful Access Your Potential Family!

Today I have my mind all wrapped up in feelings of nostalgia and thoughts about the power of completions, closures and new beginnings. Gene’s daughter Hillary is graduating with her B.S. degree on Sunday and we’re throwing a little party for her tomorrow. So this weekend is all about Hillary—what could be wrong with that? Especially if you’re Hillary!

Here’s to you Hillary—We’re sooo proud of you!!!

As you can see, we’re really looking forward to celebrating with her and since my thoughts are swirling around graduation, celebration and transitions I wanted to take a moment to celebrate with you too!

If you are a graduate or know one I offer these quotes in a toast to the perfect present (enjoy every moment, you never get this exact one ever again)and the powerful possibilities of the future (you are the Creator—make your masterpiece!)…

“I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.”
- Author Unknown

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the
safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
- Mark Twain

Have an amazing weekend and…

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”

Announcement

Hello Incredible “Access Your Potential” Family!

Goodness, I know I say this far too often when I finally find a moment to post on this blog, but I truly, truly can’t believe how much time has passed since the last post.

Sheesh, sorry it’s been so very long!

Since my last posting, my new business has not only been born into the world, but she’s already growing and thriving!

If you have been crazy busy like me and so weren’t aware of me birthing a new, beautiful, bouncing baby, I’ll proudly tell you that her name is
Leading ladies: Celebrating and Supporting Natural Born Leaders.

I’d love for you to meet her, so if you are ready to join in the love come on over to
http://www.LeadingLadiesLounge.com

On another note…

I have decided to change the form of communications that Access Your Potential subscribers receive from us.

I think you will enjoy this change as you will now no longer be sent an E-zine every other month that may have started to feel stagnant or simply too familiar in content and tone.

Now you will only receive targeted and specific emails to alert you of specials, resources, articles or events being offered through ACCES. In each communication you will be offered a link to read this new information on this blog. This will cut down on the size of your emails from us and insure that you only get the most current and meaningful information available via ACCES.

We’d love your feedback about this change as we begin implementing it over the next couple months.

The beautiful thing about this is that it benefits you (which is most important to me) in that you get more concise communications from us and it also benefits ACCES in that this blog will enjoy more postings, more traffic and hopefully more opportunity for interaction (which is what life’s all about, right?).

So, friends, see you here much more quickly than ever before and please feel free to post or send your feedback, thoughts or questions
(the email address to use, if that is your preference, is info@accessyourpotential.org)

Here’s to the magnificent power and beauty of change!

Sending you much love,
Coach Angel

Gratitude: the Gift That Keeps on Giving!

Hello My Wonderful Access Your Potential Family!

Boy, can you believe it’s November with Thanksgiving only a couple weeks away? Life just whizzes by sometimes, doesn’t it? As some of you may have noted, I was unable to get a Sept. newsletter out and while this article was in my Oct. E-zine, I thought I’d post here as well for those who hadn’t gotten a chance to read it yet. So the reason for my temporary silence is that September was a month taken up primarily with surgery and recovery for me. I am delighted to put closure on that season and report that I’m feeling great! So I’m back and I’m Grateful!!!

Oh, and I’m full of questions to get you in the gratitude mood too! For those of us in the U.S., it is the “Thanksgiving” time of year you know, so what better time could there possibly be to celebrate our gratitude!

What are you grateful for? Take a moment to think of just one thing or person that you feel blessed to have in your life right now. Why are you grateful for this person, situation or thing? Pause your reading of this so you can fully immerse yourself in your thoughts and feelings of gratitude.

Now, as you return to your reading of this text, take note of how you feel. Do you notice that even the act of being grateful causes your heart and spirit to sing? Do you find yourself thinking of even more things you are grateful for? If not, you might be distracted or unable to truly immerse yourself in gratitude right now. But when you are able, you will want to try this intentional focus on gratitude again and experience the synergistic results. Gratitude truly is the gift that keeps on giving! Really! Try it, you’ll like it!

I recently flew to southern California in order to attend a family reunion designed around celebrating my Grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary. The whole time I was there my predominant thought was how grateful I am to have been born into such an incredible family. Sure, we have our “stuff to deal with” like all families, but what a brilliant, loving and kind bunch of people I am blessed to be related to!

More specifically, since we were gathered to honor two amazing people in particular, I couldn’t stop thinking of how inexpressibly grateful I am for being gifted Jan and Jay Hale as my grandparents! Throughout my life they have been my mentors, my friends and the rock I know I can count on whenever I am feeling everything else slip away. Cheers to you my beloved Grandpa and Grandma! When I grow up I want to be just like you!

As you, dear reader, also think of what you are grateful for, you are going to notice something wonderful. It is the very thing I am noticing even now and forcing myself to stifle a bit so that this article stays readable rather than ridiculously long for this brief E-zine. The fact is that once we start intentionally recognizing and sharing those things we’re grateful for, it’s super hard to stop!

You see I am now thinking of how amazingly grateful I am for: my incredible soul mate and husband, my wonderfully supportive parents (I am even blessed with two sets), my loving friends, my amazing clients, my beautiful home, and the list goes on.

Somebody Stop Me!

OK I’ll keep it going in my heart but bid you a loving farewell with this final quote.

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it."
William Arthur Ward

Indeed, my friends, may your cup runneth over with gratitude!

Hello Access Your Potential Family!

Boy, I can hardly believe it’s already August with “Sept. fast approaching!

It’s been a busy, but amazing time for ACCES this summer…A new brand/business will be emerging in the next month (more coming soon) and there is a sense of regeneration, excitement and powerful new things just around the corner for so many people n my life (my clients, myself s well as friends and family).

I feel a bit like a little girl awaiting Christmas. I’m as excited about the gifts awaiting those I care about as I am my own gifts. I’ve never been one to open, or encourage others to open, their gifts early, because opening at the right time is so incredibly wonderful! Though that doesn’t mean I’m not shaking them a little (all of them, not just mine), imagining the possibilities of what might be inside, and building up an intensely magical sense of anticipation!

As we begin approaching Fall, I offer to you that you also have much to be excited about. Do you feel it, sense it? Even if you don’t yet, open your heart and mind to the very distinct possibility of what the universe may be “conspiring to shower down upon you—bask in my absolute favorite conspiracy theory--the philosophy of Pronoia…

" Pronoia is the opposite of paranoia." Rather than being an irrational fear that everyone is out to get you, pronoia is the belief that everyone in the universe is conspiring to shower you with blessings.”
Rob Brezsny

Here’s to you, the person you are and all that you are attracting into the life you are creating for you!

Cheers to you my friends!

Hello Access Your Potential Family!

Welcome to the sixth and final installment of my “Closure of May and welcoming of June” blog series: “Dreams Blossom Slowly.”

The tips/observations that I am offering in this series are my gift to you, to anyone who is feeling like your dreams aren’t blossoming fast enough.

Dream Manifestation- Conclusion

No one dreams the dreams you dream and no one is capable of fulfilling those dreams other than you. Whenever you have a vision for your life that captures your heart, mind and imagination hold it dear, like the unique, invaluable treasure that it is. Plan, strategize, envision and work to make it come alive so that others can benefit from the fruition of your dream and those you love can join you in honoring and celebrating your success!

I offer you these words as you move into the wonder that each day holds for you…

"The moment of enlightenment is when a person's dreams of possibilities become images of probabilities."
Vic Braden

I send you into June, dear Dreamer, with the knowledge that each day holds within it endless beauty and possibility; we need only embrace every moment for the magic and opportunity it wants to gift us. Live, love and dream big People of Powerful Potential!!!
